Passing away of Karen Beaty-Pownall

It is with enormous sadness that I have to let members know of the sudden death of Karen Beaty-Pownall. She died, unexpectedly, in hospital on Wednesday with her family at her side. Karen was a very active dinghy and offshore sailor and an enthusiastic supporter of the social events at the club. Her happy, sparkling and positive presence will be missed by all of us who knew and sailed with her.

Our thoughts go to her family and loved ones including of course her brother Paul, who is also a club member. We will send more information of any arrangements if appropriate to do so.
