Corinthians on tour in the West Country

Three boats from London Corinthian Sailing Club enjoyed a week of sailing in the West Country. Setting off from Plymouth, the flotilla intended to visit the Isles of Scilly, however, with the weather conditions not being ideal for the passage, instead a fabulous week of exploring Devon and Cornwall was had by all.

Stops included Dartmouth, Helford River, Falmouth, and Fowey, where the Fowey Regatta was in full swing. Members enjoyed watching a parade through the town, and received a hearty welcome at the Fowey Gallants Sailing Club.

After a week of pleasant sailing, and dolphin sightings aplenty, the group finished the trip in Plymouth in time to see some spectacular fireworks (including a display by the overall winner) of the National Fireworks Competition.
