LCSC update on Corona Virus (Covid-19)

Published 00:00 on 25 Aug 2020

Regretfully in light of the current social distancing restrictions we are still constricted in some areas of operations as well as sailing, as we abide by the UK Government Guidelines and RYA recommendations around the ongoing Corona Virus (COVID-19) crisis.

We are however excited to announce some movement in the following areas:

RYA Theory Courses - these will again, subject to Social Distancing regulations, start up in the Autumn/Winter. Please refer to the individual pages on our website, under the Training header, for full updates by mid September.

Dinghy sailing - Dinghy sailing sessions are now successfully running in a limited capacity and with restrictions - mainly for experienced sailors. Please see scheduling on the calendar and further details here for members.

Dinghy training - RYA level 1 & 2 courses are now running in single handlers (Fusions). Details can be seen here

Offshore Practical Courses + RYA Powerboat coures - Unfortunately these courses are still on hold.

Offshore sailing - Bookings are now being taken for 2021 events. Current trips are being reviewed on a trip by trip basis and subject to small groups, families and bubbles.

Socials - Updates on social gatherings at Linden House (the clubhouse) can be found here: https://www.lindenhouse.london/coronavirus-update. Please follow the measures put in place.

Members joining Tuesday evenings - Spaces are limited, so bookings must be made in advanced. Please login to the club's website and secure your place on the relevant Tuesday, via the Calendar.

Please remember that outside areas are very visible to the public. If we are not seen to be adhering to social distancing we run the risk of having to reclose Linden House. Nobody wants this to happen.

Overall, the situation remains fluid and the Management Team continue to review this month on month.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!
