Reciprocal Membership with Itchenor Sailing Club

We are delighted to announce our reciprocal membership with Itchenor Sailing Club.
LCSC and ISC have had a close connection for many years as many 14 sailors used to race at both clubs, and congregate in our bar for the Tuesday club nights. Many of the descendants of our former president A.P.Herbert (whose picture is on the stairs) are active members of ISC. Tom Trevelyan, now a member of ISC, features on the front cover of the book "LCSC History", racing his International 14.
Itchenor Sailing Club is a world renowned racing club with a very active racing programme. It has over 100 classic keelboats that race every weekend as well as mid-week evening racing in the summer. It also has a large dinghy fleet including the biggest fleets of International 14s and Mirrors in the UK. It has a very active junior fleet, running a popular junior regatta in the summer and hosting the UK schools championships every year. It has had many members compete in the Olympics over the years and won its first gold medal in 1948
We hope to organise an event with Itchenor Sailing Club next year. In the meantime, please see the club email for more details of our reciprocal membership.
