Fun Races & Round the Eyot Race

Join us for a fun session of short course racing suitable for all levels, followed by the madness of our Round the Eyot Race.

For those new to club, this involves a race around the small island where everyone chases Ratty in a boat festooned with balloons and try to catch him and steal the balloons!

We'll be hosting a BBQ on the terrace afterwards, so if you're not sailing, come on down anyway to watch the spectacle and join the fun afterwards.

Rigging time is the same as the event start time.

This event is a general sail, anyone can take part if the conditions allow. You can sail around by yourself or take part in some practise race starts and short marked courses.

For safety reasons, places are limited so please sign up on the website and importantly cancel your booking if you cannot attend so that someone else can have the slot.

The hiring of club dinghy's is conditional on your experience and the conditions on the day. The Office of the Day (OOD) will determine if it is safe for you to sail on the river.
