RYA Stage 1 and 2 Youth Start Sailing Course (3 days)
The courses take place midweek outside of term time and are targeted at age 14 upwards. They are open to any students interested in learning to sail and are open to Non Members and Members.
The RYA Stage 1 & 2 training courses are ideally suited to complete beginners or those that have only sailed a little. The aims of the course are to provide a sound introduction to the sport of sailing. You will learn boat handling skills and essential background knowledge. You will be safety conscious, have a basic knowledge of sailing and be capable of sailing without an instructor on board in light-medium strength winds. The course will concentrate on teaching students how to sail in all directions, including an awareness of launching and recovering. Capsize recovery and essential safety knowledge.

Course Duration: Three days (Midweek) Tuesday-Thursday

What's Included: Tuition from RYA Senior and Dinghy instructors, Dinghy hire, Bouyancy aids and wetsuits.
