Solent Cowes Weekend Cruise, 6-8 August (Friday eve to Sunday)
Join us for a fun weekend of sailing in the Solent. We will meet at Port Hamble Marina on Friday evening and sail over to Cowes on the Isle of Wight on Saturday.
The itinerary will be confirmed by your skipper but we may cruise east around the Solent Forts, or west to the world-famous Needles, passing the towering chalk cliffs at Freshwater Bay and the multi-coloured sandstone cliffs of Alum Bay. We might anchor near Queen Victoria's favourite Osbourne House for lunch on board maybe even a swim!
There's an extra treat in store on Sunday as it's the start of the biennial Fastnet Race. This classic 600-mile race is the world's biggest offshore race with 400 boats entered.
We return to Port Hamble at around 4-5pm on Sunday afternoon.
Your Skipper will be an experienced Offshore sailor who is a member of Corinthians and has volunteered to Skipper this trip. Whilst not an Instructor, they will be very happy to share their knowledge and love of sailing.
You can get as involved in the sailing as much as you like, and we all help with cooking and clearing up, etc.
The price of this weekend is great value at £200 per person (not including food & drink or mooring fees and fuel which will be shared amongst all on board). Please note: by booking onto this trip, you are agreeing to share a cabin.
