West Country Sailing Trip

Friday 3^rd to Friday 10^th August 2018

This year see's the return of the highly popular West Country sailing trip.

Where better to experience summer in the UK than with a cruise along the West Coast, exploring breath taking coastline, stopping off at charming seaside port's and tucking into scrumptious food and drink!

To make this year's trip even more spectacular, we have coincided it with the holding of the UK's Fireworks championships, which are being held for the final year in Plymouth on the 8^th and 9^th August. Thousands of people fill the Hoe seafront to view the spectacular sights as the top professional firework companies compete to be crowned the UK Firework Champions – you however won't need to jostle with the crowds as you will have a ringside seat from the boat! As well as a grand finale night out to watch the fireworks in Plymouth, we'll be taking in the sights of places such as Helford Passage, Fowey, Salcombe, Dartmouth and Newton Ferres. A typical route could be as follows (weather depending, obviously!):-

Plymouth to Fowey to Helford Passage to Newton Ferres to Dartmouth to Salcombe to Plymouth.

As you can see, not only is this a fantastic place in the country to visit but it's also a great opportunity to build miles and hopefully see a dolphin or 2!!

We'll also make sure that there'll be plenty of time to sample the delights of the West Country including a pasty and a pint of cider or 2!!

Trip details:-

• -Friday 3^rd August – meet at boat in Queen Anne's Battery Plymouth from 4pm – night out in Plymouth
• -Saturday 4^th August – our tour of the West Country begins…
• -Thursday 9^th August – Back to Plymouth to watch the final of the Firework Championships
• -Friday 10^th August – Disembark boats by 11am
