4th - 11 May

Join us this time as we visit the Western edge of Sicily, sailing out to the Egadi Islands Italy's best kept secret!

Here you'll find a wild oasis of calm and charm, sailing around islands famed for their low-key bohemian lifestyle, crystal clear waters and caves.

'The Islands of the Goats'

5 Small, mountainous islands off NW Sicily.

Largest protected marine area in Europe, home to many species including migratory birds, Caretta Caretta sea turtles and Monk Seals.

The largest is Favignana, famed for sea caves, Norman castles and snorkeling.

Marettimo is the rockiest island with a welcoming harbour where daily life revolves around the catch of the day.

Levanzo is home to 200 residents, one restaurant and Neolithic cave paintings.

Sample Itinerary:

Saturday Fly to Palermo and bus transfer to Marsala to join boats. Marsala is rich in Sicilian history and the home of Marsala Wine.

Sunday Sail to Marasolo on the southern side of Favignana known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and white sand.

Monday Morning sail to Cala Rotonda (the best beach) and then on to Circumnavigate Marettimo where we will moor overnight in this off the beaten track location.

Tuesday Sail to Levanzo the smallest of the islands. Visits to the Grotta del Genovese can be arranged to view the prehistoric cave drawings.

Wednesday Continue sailing East to Trapani where we can visit the old town and eating is a real treat. A chance to try cous cous alla trapanese and savour the fresh local produce.

Thursday Sail to Favignana and perhaps hire a bike to explore the island before relaxing in a bar before dinner.

Friday Return to Marsala, where the old town will be worth a visit.

Saturday Disembark Our visit coincides with the Garibaldi commemoration and a parade through the Garabaldi Gate.
