Riverbanking Downriver

NOTE: All participants need to sign up individually, thereby accepting T&C's and to provide correct Emergency Contact details. Duplicate bookings will be deleted.

By booking onto this event you are confirming you have read, understood and accepted the Dinghy Terms and Conditions which can be seen HERE.

Open to everyone no matter your level of experience (including none at all!). We'll sail with the tide to somewhere with refreshments, wait for the tide to turn, and sail back to the clubhouse.

This session is primarily a fun social event and a great opportunity to try sailing, have fun, and practice in a relaxed environment.

For safety reasons, places are limited so please sign up on the website and importantly cancel your booking if you cannot attend so that someone else can have the slot.


PLEASE NOTE: If wanting to sail in a single hander, you will be required to have a level 2 or equivalent skills experience. Depending on the weather and skill levels on the day, the organisers and officer of the day will assign you to a dinghy.

You might end up in a double or triple hander with competent helms. Please bring white lights for dusky sailing!

All members must book to join a sailing session (including boat owners).

If you are hiring a club boat then £15 (per person) must be paid on the day, by card only.

The total cost to come sailing is £20. This includes £15 hire fee and £5 non-members fee. Payment is by card only taken on the day before you go sailing.

You can try sailing with us on two occasions before you will need to become a member to continue sailing.

You can optionally hire a wet suit for an additional £5. Buoyancy aids are available free of charge.

PLEASE NOTE:
By joining this event you agree and hereby declare that;
I am fit to participate in the sailing session and will wear an appropriate buoyancy aid at all times when on the ramp, the pontoon or on the water and follow instructions given by the LCSC instructors. Although I am covered for third party liability by LCSC insurers, I understand that owing to the nature of the sporting activity, LCSC cannot take any liability for personal injury or other damages unless proved negligent
