Offshore Solent Cruise
Solent weekend cruise: Friday 10th - Sunday 12th June 2022
Just over a week before the longest day of 2022 we will be taking advantage of the warmer weather and daylight hours to enjoy the Solent at its best.
Starting out from Hamble Point Marina we will head west towards Yarmouth, a picturesque fishing, ferry and yachting port widely regarded as one of the jewels of the South Coast. Home to the Royal Solent Yacht Club it will be familiar with those that have done the Tattinger Regatta.
Not far from Yarmouth is Colwell Bay, a great place for anchoring, with lovely views back across the Solent to the mainland. It's a small, easily accessible beach with clear, calm waters and gently sloping sand and shingle, making it an ideal beach for swimming, so pack your trunks!
Your Skipper will be an experienced offshore sailor who is a member of Corinthians and has volunteered to Skipper this trip. Whilst not an instructor, they will be very happy to share their knowledge and love of sailing. You can get as involved in the sailing as much as you like, and everyone helps with cooking and clearing up.
We will return to Port Hamble Marina at around 4.00pm on Sunday afternoon for a quick tidy-up before heading home.
The charter yachts will be 35-40 foot and comfortable for 6-8 people, but obviously dependent upon final numbers.
COST: The price of this weekend is a bargain at £190 per person (not including food & drink or mooring fees and fuel which will be shared amongst all on board).
Please sign up & pay online to secure your place.
