Offshore Race Training June

Race Training Practical Advanced

This will be the second of two practical training sessions focussed on those who have considerable skill and experience racing already. This advanced weekend will simulate the start of many RORC races heading west, and will look at tackling the first two headlands if possible.

You will focus on precision of manoeuvres, sail trim, and boat handling as a basis, on top of which you'll look at navigational and tidal considerations in the decision making around the headlands, and shallow areas

You will need to arrive at the boat on the afternoon of 7th June to help prepare the boat for the weekend.
