Normandy 21st - 28th August 2020
Everyone is aware of the historical significance of Normandy, and it's part in WW2. What is less well known are all the beautiful towns along its coast, and the technical difficulty of getting to them.
This trip combines the ability to get some great cruising in, historic site seeing, great food, and passage sailing for those interested. Many of the smaller ports are kept behind locks which only open for a few hours around high water.
There is an anchorage near one of the main landing areas from WW2, where we will be surrounded in wrecks from the war.
Some of the towns that we're likely to visit are:
HonfleurSt Vaast la Hougue
Carentan
Grandcamp
Mullbury Harbour
Courseulles sur mer
Ouisterham
Le Havre
Each boat will be given a quest, and competing against the other boats on the trip. There will be activities at sea, and on land, and the boat that wins in the end will receive the Medal of Honour.
The UK based boats will be leaving on the 21st August, sailing across to Normandy, and back at the end of the trip. You can choose to join the boat for the crossings, or a crossing, or just meet it in Normandy when it arrives.
Please confirm this choice with the admin office.
Pricing will be £370 for the week with an initial deposit of £170 payable at time of booking. The second payment of £200 will be due 1st May 2020.
Harbour fees, fuel, fuel and general entertainment is extra.
