Fun Sailing and Rookie Races

This is a fun and relaxed session where you can come to improve your sailing skills and meet other club members. These sessions are usually run by experienced sailors who will be throwing out top tips to engage with those who want to make their dinghies sail faster. Anyone can take part if the conditions allow. Join in with some (very) informal races or free sail around the river the choice is yours!

Rigging time is the same as the event start time.

For safety reasons, places are limited so please sign up on the website and importantly cancel your booking if you cannot attend so that someone else can have the slot.

The hiring of a club dinghy is conditional on your experience and the conditions on the day. The Officer of the Day (OOD) will determine if it is safe for you to sail on the river.

We also offer various training sessions to help you improve your level of experience, including: RYA Level 1 and 2 courses, Beginners and Improvers sessions, ILCAs for Beginners, Start Racing, and various talks from world-class sailors. Check the calendar for the next available dates.
