Advanced Offshore Race Training Weekend -waitlisted
This event is currently waitlisted for the WOKC charter only. Please sign up to the 'waitlist ticket' if interested in joining and we will be in contact should there be any movement on the existing crew.
This advanced training weekend will be based in Cowes.
It will focus on learning more advanced manoeuvres as well as working on tactics and racing strategy. This is targeted at those who are looking to start racing with the club or are competing already participating in the club race calendar.
You can expect to have support from our coaching team who will support from both onboard and by following on a RIB giving you and the crew a chance to experience racing as a crew without the coach onboard.
There will be debrief sessions in the evenings to get coach feedback and review what is being done well and what needs work.
You will be travelling to Hamble or Gosport depending on the boats chartered for the weekend.

Cost is per crew member (the costs do not include fuel, moorings & provisions which will be shared amongst the crew)
This weekend is also a pre requisite for those participating in the Womens Open Keelboat Championships.

Please note, sometimes we crew with 8 on board, and sometimes with 9. The boat can only accommodate 8 to sleep, so one person will need to sleep ashore. If there are no immediate volunteers to do so, then lots are drawn and the cost is split between the crew.

A reminder that for all race training events, the security deposit liability will be £100 (not £200 as per race events)
Replacements are not guaranteed on any withdrawals two weeks leading up to the event. We will attempt to engage with the waitlist but last-minute changes are difficult to manage for all parties involved.
