RYA Powerboat Level 1 & 2
This two-day entry level course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. The course introduces you to boating techniques for launching and recovering a boat from a road trailer, everyday boat handling and the use of safety equipment. It focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and collision regulations. The course can be taken inland or on the coast and your certificate will be endorsed accordingly.
RYA Powerboat Level 1 & 2: Non-members £300, Members £200 (with an additional rebate of £100 after confirmation of 2x duties. These would be in addition to the standard 2x club duties, making it 4x duties overall)
RYA Safety boat: Non Members £280, Members £150 (with an additional rebate of £60 after confirmation of 2x duties. These would be in addition to the standard 2x club duties, making it 4x duties overall)
N.B. Members will be required to book themselves in for their duties in the safety boat via DutyMan. Kindly inform Club Admin once completed.
