How to join the club
Joining LCSC is very easy - we are a very welcoming club and do not have any set criteria for membership, just an interest in sailing!
This article gives an overview of the process for joining.
1) Fill in/Print off an Application Form : LCSC_Membership_Application_Form.pdf
We are a friendly club and like to meet new members face to face so the next step is to come along with your application form to one of our New Member Nights. Our club hosts will be on hand to buy you a drink and answer any questions and the club's constitution requires any application to be proposed and seconded by existing members and finding these two signatures is easy on a Tuesday club night *.
If you are not able to print and fill in the online form before coming along membership forms are also available at the Club to fill in on the night.
(* potential overseas or country members who cannot come to the club in person, please contact our Club Administrator 020 8748 3280)
2) Leave form at the club or post it to us at a later date
3) Payment of Subscription Fees
Payment should accompany your completed application - it will be refunded in the very unlikely event that you are not formally accepted into the Club. Our preferred method of payment is by Direct Debit. You can fill in Direct Debit details on the membership form. Payment can also be made by cheque, made payable to London Corinthian Sailing Club or by credit card/direct debit.
4) Election to the Club
In line with the Club constitution, new members are only officially elected to the club after a completed application has been received and approved by the club Management Committee. This is, however, generally a formality - and members are free to participate in club events as soon as the Club receives payment, along with the Application Form, and will receive a club Welcome Pack at this point.
If you would like to discuss the application process please get in touch with our Club Administrator on 020 8748 3280 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
London Corinthian Trust
The London Corinthian Trust (LCT) owns our clubhouse, Linden House and has the charitable aim of promoting water sports and looking after Linden House. All members of the LCSC have the option to become members of the Trust by completing the relevant section of the membership on our application form. We strongly recommend that all club members are also members of the Trust.
