Clubhouse and Catering
Bar & Clubhouse Opening Hours
The Linden House Bar is open every night except Mondays and Fridays and up to 2 hours after sailing on Saturdays and Sundays, and varies in the evening between winter and summer hours.
Tuesdays are our club night and members come to the clubhouse every week to socialise. Members can feel free to approach the membership secretary, or club hosts on any of these nights to discuss any aspect of their sailing with LCSC and how any of our all-round sailing opportunities might suit them. New Members are also welcome to come along and have a drink, with the first Tuesday of every month being designated a New Members' night.
More details and opening times for the bar can be found below:
Our lovely clubhouse bar on the first floor of Linden House, overlooking the river is open the following hours:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 1800 until 2300, with food from 1900 until 2130 during both Summer and Winter months.
Monday and Friday - the bar is closed
Saturday and Sunday:
Summer Months - 1200 mid-day until 1800 and, if late sailing is scheduled, until 2 hours after High Water. Food available from 1200 midday until 1500, and then snacks after 1500.
Winter Months - 1100 until 1830 and, if late sailing is scheduled, until 2 hours after High Water. Food available from 1200 midday until 1730, or until an hour before the bar closes when sailing is late.
Free tea & instant coffee at all times.
Weekend bar hours can be extended up to 2300 on request by any member wishing to arrange club events, with ten days notice.
We are lucky to have thoroughly delicious quality food available. There is always a minimum choice of two main courses and two cheaper snack options. All food is freshly cooked from original ingredients - absolutely no microwaved pre-prepared meals are allowed anywhere near the kitchen by Hannah, who is our Linden House Manager. Regularly helping behind the bar and cooking the food are Bejal, Marta, Milda, Antonia and Anniko, so if you are new please say hello. Menus are constantly changed.
Tuesday evening is our Club night and it's also the best time to visit if you want to find out more about the club. A good time to arrive is between 8.00 and 8.30 pm before the bar gets busy. This will enable you to see the facilities and meet other members.
New Members' Night
The first Tuesday in every month is New Members' Night at the Club. So if you have recently joined the Club and don't know many other members, yet want to find out more about the club, come along for a drink in the bar. Our Membership Secretary or another designated Club Host will be on hand to meet you - their name will be on the board as you go into the bar.
