Solent Day Sailing - 24 and/or 25th April
Join us for the first Solent sailing weekend of the season, of the year, post-lockdown (kind of!). Saturday 24 or Sunday 25.
Covid restrictions will still be in force but we are allowed to sail and will be sailing for two days (Saturday and Sunday).
The rules allow day sailing only, no crew overnight stay on a boat or in a hotel, so we have come up with a plan to give you the chance to get back on the water, almost as soon as possible
We will be running separate crews for Saturday and Sunday, if you can find somewhere local to stay where you won't be breaking the rules it is up to you if you want to sign up for both days.
Saturday: We will ask crews to arrive at Port Hamble for a 10am start. We'd envisage the boat to be back in the marina by 5pm so people can get home.
Sunday: We will ask crews to arrive at Port Hamble for a 10am start. We'd envisage the boat to be back in the marina by 4pm (in accordance with Charter policy).
Your Skipper for your day will be an experienced offshore sailor who is a member of Corinthians and has volunteered to Skipper this trip. Whilst not an instructor, they will be very happy to share their knowledge and love of sailing.
Your Skipper will decide your day passage but we'd envisage a lunch at anchor. Please bring a packed lunch, snacks and water/soft drinks for the day. Crew members will be asked to contribute to fuel costs, there will be no mooring fees on this one.
Event fee : £75 per person per day (not including fuel which will be shared amongst all on board).
Please note the standard Offshore T&Cs apply - see http://www.lcsc.org.uk/sailing/yachting-general. You will also be asked to sign a Health Declaration closer to the trip.
Please sign up & pay below to secure your place.
This event has sold out, however you may still place bookings to be added to the waiting list. You will not be charged for your booking unless a space becomes available.
