Solent Cruise to Poole (F)
This event is now wait listed.
Join us for a summer sailing weekend along the stunning Jurassic coast to Poole!
The plan is to arrive at Hamble Point on the evening of Friday 22nd June 2018 for a meal on board or in a local pub.
We will set off sailing on Saturday morning. It's a wonderfully scenic route, and we will pass Hurst Castle and the iconic Needles lighthouse, before leaving the Solent and cruising along the quintessentially English white cliffs of the Jurassic coast.
Passing through a narrow entrance, we will enter Poole Harbour - allegedly the largest inland harbour in Europe. We will have a good view of Sandbanks - one of the UK's most desirable and expensive locations to live, and Brownsea Island - owned by National Trust which famously hosted Lord Baden Powell's inaugural Scout camp in 1907.
Poole is a historic and fun place to go out - with plenty of lively restaurants and bars for us to choose from for our Saturday night out.
On Sunday we will have a full day of sailing to return to the Solent, and we will aim to be back in Hamble Point by 4pm for a quick tidy up before leaving around 5pm.
The sailing plans are provisional and are dependent on wind and tides.
The cost of the weekend is £180 per person, this does not include food and drink, marina costs and fuel.
Please sign up on-line and contact Cassie if you have any questions about the weekend.
