Autumn is a beautiful time to sail. This weekend is an opportunity to sail the Solent in a new dimension. Darkness! Daylight sailing can seem like a piece of cake after you've put yourself through several hours of night time navigation.
This trip will awaken you to a new world in the Solent, one driven by lights. The serenity that can be experienced on a night sail is hard to describe. We will use our time to navigate the Solent using the multitude of lights, buoys, beacons and depth. Using all the nocturnal tools of navigation to work our way into and out of anchorages and harbours during hours of darkness.
Over the two nights and days we plan to cover a number of places, deciding exactly which nearer the time, but this should mean more sailing hours than one expects on the average Solent weekend. We'll sail later and start our days later, before returning to the Hamble in good time on the Sunday.
This is a great opportunity to see the Solent in a new light and increase your night hours, building your confidence and skills.
The Cost of this trip is £200 (not including food & drink or mooring fees and fuel which will be shared amongst all on board).
