Overseas Cruises

London Corinthians run a wide selection of cruises in the UK and overseas. - below are details of 2017 trips planned to overseas locations.

The club's overseas cruises have become very popular over the years and this is not surprising when you see the fantastic places that we have visited - Italy's Amalfi coast, the Dutch Lakes, Canary Islands, Croatia, Montenegro, Sardinia, Sweden, Caribbean, Turkey, Greece, Canada and Thailand to name a few.

Each year the calendar includes some favourite holiday destinations but also some interesting or lesser visited locations.

We are always open to suggestions for new destinations and volunteers to organise trips! Spaces can go very quickly on these cruises so remember to book early.

Overseas events are organised on a charter only basis so members generally book their own flights although recommendations are made to enable shared transfers.

Just for your interest - the trips run in 2016 are below:

Canary Islands - 26 March - 4 April 2016

Spring sunshine with Atlantic sailing off the volcanic Canary Islands. We have large yachts and a good list of Canarian village destinations to visit on this week long cruise. The sailing could be exciting, as the islands are known for wind acceleration zones, but we will always sail where the crew are comfortable. Two 40m passages are possible to outlying islands.

The event has now taken place and - the write-up is here: write up

... and the photos of the trip are HERE

UK Jurassic Coast - 29 April - 2 May 2016 (not quite overseas, but out of the Solent!)

4 day cruise from Lymington straight out into the Solent, past the Jurassic Coast and down to Weymouth, and return.

Amalfi Coast, Italy - 9-16 July 2016

This will be a most beautiful trip. Seeing the Amalfi Coast from the water will be amazing. This is a 7 day cruise along the coast taking in Amalfi and the islands of Capri and Ischia. There is potential for a side trip to Pompeii before or after the cruise.

The trip took place - a resounding success - with 26 Corinthians having an amazing time - The write up is here: Amalfi write up

And pictures are HERE

Dutch Lakes - 26-29 August 2016
Swallows and Amazon's meets keel boats in the Dutch Frisian Lakes. 4 day circuit of lakes and canals, small towns and islands. We'll be glamping on-board, without the glamour, 2 to a boat. These are similar in size to a J80, fixed keel, quite heavy so more stable than a Vision. Folding masts allow us to really explore all the waterways.

Balearic Islands - 16th - 23rd September 2016
A cruise around Ibiza and Formentera following a glowing recommendation from a club member who organises regular trips there. This 7 day cruise is enough to circumnavigate both islands. More info is: HERE
