Safety Boat course

Next course date: Saturday 7th October 2006

Start time: 0930, duration: 4.5 hours approx

Instructor: Charles Frater.

Fee: £20 (includes lunch)

The club relies on members to assist with safety boat duties each week, and for some this can be a daunting experience!

In the past there has been a day course at the club for prospective Safety Boat drivers or those wishing to gain confidence in preparing and launching the Safety Boat, as well as laying buoys, recovering and towing dinghies.

It is also possible to organise trips to external training centres such as Chas Newens Marine in Putney. These are more formal training courses leading to RYA qualifications.

If you would be interested in either of these options please contact the Club Administrator with details of which course you would like to attend.

Dress warmly and bring sailing gloves.
