Event & Booking Information

This is a club racing event based at UKSA in Cowes. Two days of short races in keelboats with instructors available for coaching. Cost is £110 from Friday evening 21st May to Sunday afternoon 23rd May, which includes full board accommodation, boats, race organisers and instructors. (This does not include food on Friday evening - but will organise to eat out in Cowes depending on when you arrive).

This is a new club event developed in response to feedback from the racing survey and discussion at the racing forum.

UKSA offer 3 colgate 26s and 3 J80s. (If you are wondering what keelboats are - they are essentially small yachts - in the sense that you won't be capsizing and can wear normal offshore wet weather gear.)

We will hold a series of races over 2 days racing against other club members. It will be a great introduction to the racing season and will be suitable for all levels of experience. Ideal for new crew planning to take part in regattas later in the year; for dingy sailors wanting to try yacht racing; for building skills in a new crew role, or developing your helming and skippering skills. An ideal follow on from Weymouth training weekend and introduction to further keelboat and yacht events.
