Appointment of a new General Manager

As you know during the past month or so we have been conducting a search for a new General Manager at Linden House.

We are now very pleased to confirm that Wendy Hughes will be joining us at the end of the month in this post.

Wendy has wide experience in the catering, hospitality and facilities management fields in both member driven and commercial organisations, along the way having helped the National Maritime Museum, the V & A and the Royal Academy of Arts amongst others, to grow and improve their services to members and customers.

She is keen to join us as a smaller member based organisation that has ambitions to play an increasingly active role in promoting sailing and rowing in Hammersmith, and which wants to make better use of our facilities in order to achieve this.

She will be starting on the 26th September, and will have a one week hand-over from Clive Weelen, our locum Manager, as the first part of her learning the new job.

It is firmly her ambition, and ours, that Linden House offers increasing levels of service and benefits to members of both clubs, and once she has settled in over the first few months, she will be keen to understand from members the ways in which this might be achieved.

Please do introduce yourself to her when she joins us, and make her very welcome to the club.

Thank you,

Chris Winnington-Ingram
