Inshore & Regatta Racing

Inshore racing with LCSC is predominantly in the Solent, but also includes events further afield, such as overseas rallies, Dartmouth and Cork Week. The club participates in regatta's such as Cowes Week, Hamble Winter Series, and many events running throughout the year starting with the Sunsail Spring Series and Red Funnel Regatta. Some events are suitable more for advanced racers, some for beginners and others a mixture and are based on race development.

In the 2009 season the club had some great successes, in regattas and IRC class events. We again entered two boats in the Sunsail class in Cowes week, with club members battling it out against each other on Corinthian Warrior and Corinthian Knight teams, with Knight finally coming 5^th in class over the week. In IRC the race squad had a great season in the Hamble Winter Series on Panther Logic, a Reflex 38, finally coming 7^th in IRC 1 class after an exciting eight week campaign, which saw close and exciting racing on the water. The exact programme in which LCSC will be participating varies from year to year.
