Things are really hotting up on the Social front now, and this is to let
you know about definite future social events to put in your diaries, as well
as serving as a last reminder....
Last chance to get tickets to the Cannons/Sail UK
Sailors' Ball on Sat 22nd March at Chiswick Golf Club.
Tickets £20, come with friends or come alone - there
will be many friendly faces you will recongnise.

And for the many who have already paid I hope to be
able to distribute these next Tues. or will leave them
on the door on the night.
Hawaiian Night at the club is on Sat 5th April for
lots of dancing, flirting and fun! Liz and Karen will
be doing the hard sell next week so watch out for the
deadly duo and be prepared to prise those wallets
open!
Go on...you know you want to...
The RS Hispaniola on the Thames at Embankment has been booked for Sat 14th
June for the annual Corinthians black-tie Ball,
and the Sons will be invited to join in the festivities. The tickets are limited
to 220 so keep a lookout on the Social noticeboard and for ticket prices which
we are currently finalising. We have booked coaches to take members from the
club to the boat and this will probably be about a tenner for the return journey,
so indicate whether you would like transport when signing up for tickets.
The Hispaniola is moored at all times to the riverside & will not be cruising
the Thames, so DJ's & dancing shoes, yes, oilies & Dubarrys, no.
Finally, we have booked the restaurant at RORC for a
Trafalgar Day Dinner, on Wed 22nd October. This will
be £27.50 for a three-course meal + half bottle of
wine, numbers limited to 28, & pay on the night. We
will put dinner menu on noticeboard for you to
pre-select, and whilst you're enjoying pre-dinner
cocktails take the time to explore the famous Fastnet
room. We hope to persuade some kind and
knowledgeable speaker to talk about Nelson and the
Battle, so volunteers step forward please, or it'll be
the Queen's Shilling you see lurking at the bottom of
your tankard!
