Lee Valley and New Year Cups Rescheduled
Following a stonking Laser sailing day with force 7 winds
on the Saturday there was very little wind for the Lee Valley and New Year Cups.
The largest turnout of Enterprises yet this winter were thwarted as the race
was abandonned. There was an exceptionally large tide and local roads were
flooded. Unfortunately no-one told the race officer that he could put the tide
boards in to protect Upper Mall whilst the fleet carried on racing. The Lee
Valley (Regional Park) Trophy and the New Year Cup will be resailed on
17th February 2002.
