Tideway Race

Saturday, 21st August 1999

Following the success of the Tideway Race to the Founders Arms, another race down the Thames is planned for Saturday, 21st August. This time the destination is the Festival Hall where there is a sandy beach. The start time is 12.30; low water at London Bridge is 15.23; the estimated time of return to the club is 18.00. Although refreshments are available at the Festival Hall, there is no riverside pub. Cold drinks will be available for sale but you are advised to bring your own picnic.

This is an addition to the sailing programme and, because of the time of high water, there will be no sailing at Hammersmith. This is a fun event and an ideal opportunity to see London from a different perspective. Make a note in your diary and book a boat now.
