As members and regular regular visitors can see, we've changed the look of the website!
Why? you may ask!
So, hopefully you will find it easier to navigate round the site using the
menu system, and find the pages more consistent and clearly laid out, but most
importantly it is what lies behind the scenes...
We can now have more than one web editor. By having the calendar and menu on
a database we can allow and control more than one person updating the website
- hence the new web team below (which we hope to grow). We hope you will notice
more updates and news and will feel able to contribute more of your own news,
stories etc. If you are responsible for stuff covered by specific page(s) then
there is even a facility for maintaining "stop press" updates to
your pages yourself via a web interface, without any need for special skills or
software!
Some (very few) pages are now password protected, so you'll have to ask me
if you think you want to see them! And there are even more features in the pipeline!
I have gone 'live' with this new look before all the wrinkles have been ironed
out, so don't be too surprised if something isn't 100%, but please feel free to
e-mail one of us if you see anything that can be improved!!!
Many thanks to Mark and Jeremy without whom I couldn't have got to this point
with the new website, Joe Cross for temporarily hosting the 'old' website (which
will remain visible at www.latina.org.uk for a short while) and many others for
content, advice and suggestions etc...
