2005 London Boat Show
The dust has now settled on the 2005 London Boat Show and the club is now busy following up all of the enquiries that were generated during the show. Overall attendance figures at the show were down this year - 160,000 against 214,000 in 2004. However, I'm pleased to say that the level of interest in our club did not show the same decline. This year 280 potential members expressed an interest in joining the club and left their names and addresses on the stand against 295 last year.
Allison Spyer, the Club Administrator, has now sent written invitations to all of these potential members inviting them to come along to the Tuesday club evenings during February when I or the Meet'n'Greeters will be there to welcome them and hopefully persuade them to join our illustrious club.
Many, many thanks to all who assisted in making our stand the success that it was and in particular to Karen Shefras who as ever used her professional exhibition management skills to oversee the whole affair and ensure that everything ran smoothly and efficiently.
So if you see any new faces in the bar in the next few weeks please make an effort to make them feel welcome.
Best wishes
John
