London Corinthian Trust

For technical reasons this is a separate legal entity that runs the club building, Linden House. It is neccessary to become a member of this trust as well as the sailing club itself.

Membership subscriptions are due on 1st October each year. The fees for the current year, commencing 1st October 2001 are:

Category Subscription Joining Fee
FULL £135 £15
FAMILY £210 £15
COUNTRY £50 £15
OVERSEAS £30 £15
ASSOCIATE (non sailing) £100 £15

Participants on RYA Day Skipper and Yachtmaster theory courses, dinghy training courses, or temporary members applying for permanent membership, may be eligible for a waiver of the 50 joining fee. Contact the Administrator for details.

Country membership is open to persons living and working outside a zone approximately 75 miles from LCSC, the boundary being defined by the borders of the counties of Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. (i.e. Persons living and working in the above counties are not eligible for country membership). Students over the age of 23 require proof of enrollment in full-time education. Overseas membership is open to persons living and working outside the United Kingdom. Special Navigation Classes or Sail Training membership rates are for those only wishing to enroll in specific courses.

Payment, including joining fee where required, in cash or by cheque made payable to London Corinthian Sailing Club, should accompany your application - it will be refunded if the application is not accepted. The Club does not have the facilities for Direct Debit payment.

Persons elected after 31st March need pay only half the annual subscription (plus £15 joining fee), which is deemed to cover them for the period until the 30th September.

Persons elected after 31st July should pay the relevant full annual subscription set for the following year, which is deemed to cover them for the period until 30th September of the following year.

Boat mooring fees are due on 1st April each year, and will be invoiced at that time. New arrivals will be invoiced pro-rata for each month or part thereof remaining to the end of March. Fees for the current year (1st April 2001 - 31st March 2002) are £180 per year, with a £90 rebate at year end for all boats that have been used on more than six occasions during the year. (A trip to Poole dinghy week would only count as one occasion - the boat is required to leave its berth, go sailing and then return to its berth at least six times!) This system is to discourage use of the club as a form of cheap storage for unused boats! We have storage for around 100 boats indoors in the undercrofts, and up to 15 in the boatyard (behind locked gates). You must apply to the relevant fleet captain for your berth allocation.

All boats, trailers and gear left on club premises should be clearly marked with boat sail number and/or members name. Unmarked items will be disposed of.
