Tattinger Royal Solent Regatta

For the fourth year in a row we will be entering a couple of boats in the Taittinger Royal Solent Regatta at Yarmouth.This regatta is hosted by the Royal Solent Yacht Club at Yarmouth and sponsored by the Champagne House Taittinger.

We have 2 J109s and a J122 reserved so there are 24 places available, but please note that priority will be given to members signing up for the series of 4 race events.

Three days of sailing from Friday 14 July through to end of Sunday 16 July

Pick up the boat on Friday morning in Hamble. Practice on Friday afternoon and moor up in Yarmouth for the Tattinger reception on Friday evening. Race on Saturday and more parties in Yarmouth in the evening. Race again on Sunday, with prizes awarded in the afternoon. Sail back to Hamble and depart from the boat late sunday afternoon.

Skippers are Keith Hawkins, Niall Downie and one other to be confirmed.

It is Fastnet race year this year and the J109s are in strong demand, we need to confirm the boats and make the final payment 2 months before the event. This event is likely to fill up quickly and booking early is recommended. We must close bookings on 13 May 2017.

Although the boats can sleep 8 they are somewhat cramped after 6 so there will be a discount available for sleeping ashore if there are more than 6 on each boat.
