Become a race officer... for free!

Join a free 2 hour course to give you the skills you need for deputy Race Officer.

You'll learn: preparations & familiarisation with the race box; starting, managing and finishing a race; results sheets and tidy up.

Don't forget that all members need to do two duties/year. But more than anything, it's a great way to broaden your sailing experience.

If you're new to sailing or the Thames, learning how to set a course will also help you think about how to sail or race on the river.

Watching from the race box also gives you get a bird's eye view of all the action and the tactics of some of our best sailors competing in the regular points series or cup races.
