Race officer and Safety boat duties.
Helping with the running of the dinghy racing programme is an excellent way to broaden your sailing experience, as well as making a valuable and valued contribution to the club. Without your support racing would not be possible.
From the Race Box and the Safety Boat you have the opportunity to see how races are lost and won. Some may even find zipping up and down the Thames in a motor boat more fun than battling with the tide under sail!
The Dinghy Sailing Programme for this year is now available on the website and the Sailing Committee would be grateful if you would sign up for duties for the first half year.
See the Dinghy Calendar
Please select two duties. Then, choose one of the following:
- Send by post or email email@example.com your preferred dates and duties to the club Sailing Secretary
If you haven't been Race Officer (OOD) before, sign up for Deputy Race Officer and you will be paired with someone with experience. The same goes for Safety Boat driver. If anyone feels they would benefit from training, we can organise training sessions for both Race Officers and Safety Boat drivers. Register your interest when you sign up.
Thank you for your support.
