Dinghies have been raced on the River Thames at Hammersmith since
1894. We sail throughout
the year on the reach that extends for two-and-a-half miles between the
bridges at Hammersmith and Barnes.
Evening
sailing takes place midweek when there are favourable tides during the summer.
Booze
cruising is a popular way to visit pubs on the river upstream and sailing
in more leisurely style.
Every year dinghy sailors enter popular open meeting events around the
country and the club holds its own championship in the spring.
New members only service is launched.
To broaden your experience and knowledge of how a race
is organised, then volunteer
to run a dinghy race? There are duties
for Race Officer and Safety Boat driver.
