How To Apply For Membership

LCSC welcomes new members. If you are interested in what we have to offer, and have any queries about membership, please initially contact our Membership Secretary, membership@lcsc.org.uk.

The club hosts a New Member's night and Club Social on every 1st Tuesday and 1st Saturday of the month. If you would like a preview of the club, or discuss anything we offer; prospective member's are most welcome on these nights, where there will be Club Officer's on duty, plus other new or recently joined members with whom can discuss what LCSC can offer you. Saturday's are recommened for those new to Dinghy Sailing, although members from all sections of the club and officers are present on both Tuesday and Saturday. Times for all nights and any special offers, such as guest ale's for the bar can be found on the Social Calendar.

New Members and Guests are also welcome any of the other Tuesday Club nights, if you would like to discuss your application with the membership secretary or club hosts. You can find directions to the Club here online.

The current membership categories and prices are shown below. If you would like to join please complete the online form and download the membership application form, together with terms and conditions. If you have a query about your application if this has been submitted, please contact our administrator, Berenice, on 020 8748 3280 or admin@lcsc.org.uk.

The constitution of the Club requires your application to be proposed and seconded by existing members. Come to the Club on a Tuesday evening and finding these two signatures is normally easy; we do like to meet new members face-to-face. The constitution also requires that members be elected to the Club after an initial period, which allows other members to vet the application. This is a formality and members are free to participate in club events as soon as the Club receives payment.

Processing Your Application

Payment

Payment, including joining fee where required, should accompany your application - it will be refunded in the unlikely event that you are not formally accepted into the Club. Payment should be by cheque, made payable to London Corinthian Sailing Club, or by credit card - fill in details on the membership form. Thereafter, membership subscriptions are payable annually and are due in the month of joining, e.g. a member joining in April 2010 will be expected to pay a membership renewal on 1st April 2011.

London Corinthian Trust

For technical reasons this is a separate legal entity that runs the Club building, Linden House. It is necessary to become a member of this trust as well as the sailing club itself.
