Welcome to the Club

We are a friendly riverside club based on the Thames at Linden House, Upper Mall, Hammersmith. We offer dinghy sailing on the Thames and yachting on the Solent and further afield, as well as an active social side including our popular Tuesday 'Club Nights'.

Don't worry if you havent sailed before - we can teach you. We are an RYA-approved offshore training establishment and provide a full training programme, including RYA theory and practical courses for competent crew, day skipper, coastal skipper and yachtmaster. See Training for more detail.

Dinghy racing takes place most weekends throughout the year and some evenings during the summer. In addition to sailing at Hammersmith, we also organise and compete in regular events against other dinghy clubs on the Thames and elsewhere. See Dinghy Sailing for more information.

Our active yachting programme includes cruises, training weekends, treasure hunts and races organised by the club each year. We also participate in Winter and Spring series racing, RORC races, Fastnet and member-events. Members have recently sailed in Antigua, Norway, Scotland, the Baltic States and the Mediterranean. New members are always welcome, provided they have at least a passing interest in sailing! If you want to find out more, just come along on Tuesday Club Night.

Our beautiful Georgian clubhouse features a superb bar and ballroom with river views and a gym with spacious changing facilities and showers. See facilities for more.

Since 2000 we share Linden House with Sons of the Thames Rowing Club. Whilst we remain separate clubs, we do enjoy many extra advantages, such as the gym, socialising and trying out each other's sport. Luckily launch times almost never clash, so everybody wins! More about SOTT.
