Offshore Rally

This is just the most amazing event!

Remember to sign up early for next year's Offshore Rally

This Year it took place on Saturday 28th September 2002 in the Solent,
with a smart dinner at the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club in Cowes on Saturday evening.
There was gentle cruising on Sunday to recover.

In 2002: The cost per person for the boat charter is £110, and the cost of the dinner at the RCYC is £40 per head. Please pay in full when you sign up for the Offshore Rally on the Offshore board in the club - your place will not be reserved without full payment.

Deadline for signing up was Sunday 15 September.
Please note that this year, all skippers and crew must be LCSC members.

Click on all the links on this page to get some idea why this is such an amazing event !

A few short words from Simon

This event is always fully booked:

Sadly we are constrained by the venue for dinner numbers, and this year had to turn down many late entry yachts and crew - Book early next year!

Helming Sigma 38Held annually for quite some years, this is one of our most popular events. As well as the offshore enthusiasts, this event attracts many of the dinghy, social members and complete beginners. It is a very social fun event and lots of drink seems to be consumed in most boats!

We spend Saturday racing round the cans in the Solent then on to Cowes for a slap up dinner and dance.

The fleet consists of a rag-bag mixture of members, borrowed and chartered yachts of all sorts Chris Eade and the Sailing committee sort out a large amount of the crews. Wise to book early with Chris Eade as Dinner places are limited and we are always sold out!

Lots of stuff about what happened in 1999
